Industrial Equipment Technology (Certificate)

Study industrial equipment technology at JCC

The Industrial Equipment Technology certificate at Jamestown Community College provides you with the knowledge to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. You can work in many environments, such as manufacturing, facilities, plastics, and aerospace.

You’ll be prepared for entry-level positions in industrial maintenance and other manufacturing jobs with job titles such as industrial electrician, industrial machinery mechanic, installation technician, and building maintenance mechanic. Professionals in the field can also use the certificate as a credential, showing skills necessary for advancement.

Most of the mechanical technology courses completed in the Industrial Equipment Technology certificate will ladder into JCC’s Mechanical Technology A.A.S. degree with a concentration in design or machine tools. The certificate also ladders directly into the A.A.S. degree in Mechatronics.

2023 median pay for electro-mechanical and mechatronics technologists and technicians: $65,080/year according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
